Our service is unique to the Heat Shrink Tubing industry with our custom and permanent mark which will withstand even the harshest environmental conditions. Seacoast heat shrinkable markers have excellent clarity and legibility meeting your exact specifications.

With Seacoast wire markers, you can identify wires and speed installation, repair, modification and servicing of complex wiring in all types of electronic and industrial equipment.

Seacoast wire markers are extremely tough and durable and will not cold flow, melt or split. With our Hot Stamped process, characters instantly penetrate and permanently adhere to and become an integral part of the plastic insulation material. The marker is permanently marked with unexcelled clarity and legibility.

Hot Stamping:

In 1939, with war on the horizon, our defense industry was desperately looking for ways to increase production. AIRCRAFT and NAVY contractors had production bottlenecks attributed to wire harness assembly methods which at the time involved HAND-WRITTEN labels and complex color codes. Their problems were further complicated by the inability of wire manufacturers to keep pace with the demand for hundreds of unique striping patterns and color combinations.

These system design problems with their multiplicity of wiring, and unique color coding were solved by the "HOT-STAMPED" process. Permanent hot stamped wire markers became the standard for the defense contractors. Harness assembly production bottle-necks were eliminated and the defense industry streamlined its demands on production.

Much like making the "ancient" carbon copies on a typewriter, "HOT STAMPED" wire and cable markers consist of transferring an image to the plastic tubing surface. Using a hot die and stamping or striking an ink-coated foil held in contact with the tubing gives you a successful mark.

Printing this way gives you an instantly permanent mark on all our Heat Shrinkable products. No smearing or secondary process to CURE the ink.
